On First-Name Terms with AI – My Everyday Life as a Machine Whisperer
Is artificial intelligence nothing more than artificial mediocrity? (Yes.) Is this a bad thing? (Not necessarily.) When mediocrity becomes automatable and scalable, will machines finally be able to produce art - and even be purpusely funny? (Maybe.)
In his talk, comedian Patrick Karpiczenko explores the possibilities and pitfalls of generative AI. He suggests ways to collaborate with these systems and, through demonstrations of specific model failures, builds heuristics to help us get a feel for the current generation of models.
Together, we’ll be able to deal with our rage against the machine learning algorithm.
